AKIN is a non-profit foundation dedicated to stamp out the suffering experienced by underprivileged children
around the world, and to secure a happy future for as many of them as possible.
AKIN focuses on addressing serious problems facing children in
developing countries. We aim to provide food, clothing, shelter,
protection, medical assistance and education for as many children as
possible, focusing on one child at a time. As a small charity AKIN is able to adopt a personal approach and focusses on the long term benefits for the children under our care. This is reflected by our commitment to support each child throughout their entire education. To be able to give such a firm and far reaching commitment our job is to focus on the quality of the care given to each child rather than necessarily the number of children we care for. Notwithstanding this, we are firmly committed to helping as many children as we possibly can without compromising the quality of care for the children who make up the AKIN 'family'.
